Daniel J. Huddleson, 77, of Pine Grove, formerly of Williamstown passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, March 6, 1947, a son of the late Howard and Glenda Frick Huddelson.
Dan was a graduate of Williamstown High School and Kutztown University where he received his Bachelor's in Education.
He spent his entire teaching career of 34 years at Williams Valley School District starting in 1969 and retiring in 2003 where he was the high school librarian.
Dan was a member of the former Williamstown United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the NRA and Loyal Order of Moose, and a social member of the Williamstown American Legion and Williamstown VFW. He was also a member of the former Williamstown Military Band.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Shuttlesworth Huddelson, 2004; a brother, Thomas Huddleson; a stepson, Adrian "Charlie" Ancheff.
Surviving are two sisters, Susan Hambleton and her husband Clyde Thomas, Lancaster, and Ruth Frankhouser and husband Brian, New Holland; a brother, David Huddleson and his wife Pamela, Clay, New York; his friend and caregiver, Yvette Pfeffer, Pine Grove; two stepchildren and their families, George Ancheff and his wife Diane, Williamstown and Dorothy Gottlemann and her companion, Rob, Las Vegas; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30- 2:00 at the chapel. Dan will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
