Darla J. Osman

Darla J. Osman, 85, of Millersburg, went home to be with the Lord, Monday evening, April 6, 2026 at her home.

Born in Millersburg on Monday, July 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Russell Straub and Eva Mae Schrawder Paul.

Darla worked previously at the Lenkerville Elementary School. She also worked at the former Muskin Shoe Factory. Darla was last employed at the print shop at the former Upper Dauphin Sentinel.

She was a very active and faithful member of the Millersburg Assembly of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher and volunteered in the nursery. Darla will be remembered for her strong Christian faith and her love for the Lord.

Her family and her church was the center of her world. Darla enjoyed bowling and belonged to a bowling league. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and babysitting, and she will be fondly remembered as "Grammy D" and for her famous peanut butter fudge. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Osman; two brothers, Kenneth "Red" and Frank "Butch" Straub.

Surviving are her two children, Alvina Osman, Enola and Rick Osman, Millersburg; a grandson, Sean Osman (Krystal), Levittown; two sisters, Lena Messersmith, Elizabethville and Patricia Noblit (Joseph), Millersburg; a brother, Robert Paul (Nancy), Millersburg; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from the Millersburg Assembly of God at 11:00 AM with her pastor, Pastor Norman Lawrence officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the church. Darla will be laid to rest in the Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
