Dean E. Bordner

Dean E. Bordner, 90, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born in Carsonvile, April 29, 1933, a son of the late Samuel and Rose Yerges Bordner.

Dean worked as a machinist, first working at the former Muskin Shoe Factory and retiring from Seal Glove, both of Millersburg.

He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Millersburg. Dean was also a 50-year member of the Susquehanna Lodge, #364 F&AM, Millersburg.

Dean had a talent for woodworking and could build almost anything. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and bowling, belonging to several local bowling leagues. Above all his family was his pride and joy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Clifford, Samuel and Lester Bordner; one sister, Ida Ruddy.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Pauline Briggs Bordner; his daughter, Diane Hoy and her husband Gregory, Millersburg; a granddaughter, Kallie Kline, Harrisburg; a great-grandson, Dr. Austin Dressler and his wife Nina, Langhorn; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Trinity United Church of Christ, Millersburg with Rev. Mark Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am.   A masonic service will begin at 10:45 am.
