Debra A. Cave, 69, of Lykens, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 3, 2025 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Debra was born in Harrisburg on Sunday, July 1, 1956, a daughter of the late Leo and Diana Buffington Jones. She was a 1974 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School.

She will be remembered for her longtime employment at the former Millersburg Hotel, where she worked from 1982-2012. She loved this job and could be found doing almost anything that was asked of her.
Debra was of the Catholic faith. She could often be found reading, doing crossword puzzles, and being on social media. Family dinners were always very special to her, and she always looked forward to them. Her sense of humor was one of a kind.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Cave; a grandson, Codie Dietrich-Chubb; a sister Leeann Jones Readinger.
Surviving are her daughter, Mandy Dietrich Evans and her husband Michael, Lykens; her son, James Dietrich, Jr. and his wife Renate, Lykens; a sister, Lori Jones Diven and her husband Larry, Thompsontown; a brother Ralph Jones, Wiconisco; grandchildren, Mollie Dietrich, Maryland, Samuel Johnston (Jacey), Millersburg, Jade and Shawn Dietrich, Lykens; two great granddaughters, Codie June Johnstown and Maraiah Evans; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher Evans, both of Maryland; nieces and nephews.
