Dennis G. LaMonte

Dennis G. LaMonte, 82, of Williamstown, passed away Thursday morning, October 10, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Pottsville.

Dennis was born in Joliet, IL, September 24, 1942, a son of the late Carl and Genevieve Kezerle LaMonte.

He was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. 

Dennis was a retired electrician from Local Union 176.

He was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown, where he was the custodian. Dennis was also a member of the Williamstown American Legion and the VFW. 

Dennis enjoyed traveling and spending time with his daughters. He took great pride in the appearance of his lawn, and he could often be found on his tractor cutting the grass.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary Kennedy LaMonte on March 3, 2002, and a brother Carl LaMonte and his wife Carol.

Surviving are his two daughters, Pamela Herring (Lee), Williamstown and Deborah LaMonte (Sam), Tower City; two grandchildren, Megan Herring (Michael) and Matthew Herring; a great grandson, Frankie.

Dennis will be laid to rest privately with full military honors in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Williamstown.
