Dorita Kay Crawford, 71, of Palmyra, formerly a longtime resident of Lykens, passed away suddenly, Saturday November 22, 2025 at her home.
Dorita was born on Friday, November 19, 1954, a daughter of the late John D. and Brendalee Hoover Shoop.
Dorita worked for several years in the Williams Valley School District Cafeteria. She devoted her life to being a stay at home mom. Her family always was her number one priority in life.
She enjoyed dancing, attending concerts in the park, and listening to country music. She could often be found playing board games in her free time, with Yahtzee and Parcheesi being her favorites.
Dorita will be remember as a loving and supporting mother to her children and the best Nanna ever to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Hernandez.
She is survived by her four children, Diana Kessler (Josh), Lykens, Brendalee Colvin, Halifax, Michelle Fennell (Paul), Jonestown, and Kenny Crawford, Palmyra; her brother, Rick Shoop (Wendy), Duncannon; her sister, Trudy Romito, Lykens; her eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren she adored and loved.
Honoring Dorita's wishes there will be no formal services.
