Dorothy "Dot" Reiber, 96, of Wiconisco, went home to be with the Lord, on Good Friday morning, March 29, 2024.
Dot was born in Wiconisco, December 8, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Anna Wilt Reiber. She was a 1945 graduate of Wiconisco High School and a 1953 graduate of Prairie Bible College, Three Hills, Alberta Canada.
Dot dedicated her life to the Lord, she was an Overseas Missionary fellowship serving in the Philippines for over 38 years.
Her life revolved around her strong Christian faith. Being a member of the OMF, International, gave her the opportunity to share the gospel through church planting, discipleship, and other humanitarian outreach.
She was a lifelong and faithful member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Wiconisco. Dot was involved in almost every aspect at Calvary, from children and adult Sunday school teacher to being a Trustee. She was a mentor to many and will be deeply missed. She was an avid Penn State football fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Reiber and a sister, June Bingaman.
Dot is survived by her two sisters, Pat Hoke, Lykens and Janet Minnich, Wiconisco; a sister-in-law, Ethel Reiber, Elizabethtown. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and took great interest in their lives.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Calvary U.M. Church with her pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 at church. Dot will be laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco.
