Dwight A. Tschopp, 80, of Wiconisco, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, January 24, 2026 at UPMC Harrisburg with his family at his side.
Born in Elizabethville on Saturday, June 2, 1945, a son of the late Hiram and Pauline Gonder Tschopp. Dwight was a 1963 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.
He was a proud United States Navy veteran.
Dwight was employed as a machinist his entire life, retiring from MI Pro Plastics.
He was an active member of the Faith E.C. Church, Wiconisco, where he formerly served on the church council. Dwight was a former member of the Millersburg American Legion.
In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dwight was a jack of all trades, known for his ability to fix anything. There was not a stray cat that he came across that wasn't fed or taken care of. Dwight was always up for a good game of cards, especially euchre. Without a doubt, his family was the center of his world. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, dad, and Papa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Koppenhaver and David Tschopp.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Wetzel Tschopp, with whom he spent over 55 years with; four children, Lori Tschopp, Wiconisco, Shelly Starr (Steve), Berrysburg, Michael Anderson (Becky), Lykens, and Shawnee Baron (Matt), York; his grandchildren he adored, Corry Tschopp (Hannah), Lynken Winters, Heath Starr (Natalie), Shaelyn Welker (Brock), Kyah Starr, Emily and Faith Anderson, Aaron Amato, Mark and Justin Miller, Charity Gochenour, David Stailey, and Illyra Frasca; one great grandson, Eli Tschopp; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Faith E.C. Church, Wiconisco.
