Dyrle J. "Butch" Alberts, 63, of Halifax passed away suddenly Friday, July 8, 2022, at his home.
Born in Harrisburg, March 10, 1959, a son of Barbara J. Alberts Gilligbauer, Halifax.
Butch was retired from Stroehmann Bakeries, Harrisburg, where he did maintenance and electrical work.
He was involved with the Lebanon County Auxiliary Patrol, where he was a Lifetime Member, First Lieutenant, and Quarter Master and worked traffic control. Butch was also the manager of the Pillow Campground, where he loved to spend his time and had many dear friends.
Butch was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
He was predeceased by his stepfather, Raymond Gilligbauer, and a sister, Dawn Berry.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his daughter, LeeAnn Alberts (Jessica), Halifax; a stepson, Donald Bucher, Pillow; a sister, Lisa Via, (David), Halifax; a brother, Ryan Via, Coatesville; two stepbrothers, Raymond Gilligbauer Jr., Auburn, and Rodney Gilligbauer, Millersburg; a step-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Burial will be held at Bowermans Cemetery, Halifax. Viewing will be held from 10-11 at the chapel.
