E. Mae Spicher, 98, formerly of Orwin, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville.
Born in Orwin, August 18, 1923, a daughter of the late Edgar and Elsie M. Stover.
Mae was a 1941 graduate of the former Porter Township High School. She was also a graduate of beauty school and owned and operated her own business for many years.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, where she served as the youth director for over twenty years. She was also a member and Past Matron of the Glen Chapter of the Eastern Star, #425, Lykens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Spicher, 2007 and a brother Carl Stover, 2004.
Surviving are two children, Lonnie Spicher and his wife Donna, Danville and Nina Markel, Carlisle, four grandsons; Matthew, Andrew, Jordan and Connor. Five great grandchildren.
Order of Eastern Star service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 12:30 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Religious services will follow the Eastern Star service. Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
