Edward Hunter Obituary

Edward W. Hunter, 86, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home. 

Born in Reinerton, on Tuesday, September 20, 1938, a son of the late George and Emma Bendigo Hunter.

Ed was a United States Marine veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era. He spent a total of 8 years with the Marine Corp. Following his time with marines, he was employed with the United States Army Reserve for over 20 years, serving at Fort Indiantown Gap. Ed was last employed as a die repairman with Tyco.

He was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp along the Juniata River. Above all else his family, especially his grandsons and great grandchildren, were his pride and joy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin Hunter; sisters, Janice Griffiths, Janet Hunter, and Mae Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Mione Hunter; a daughter, Deborah Null and her husband Kevin; a son, Ricky Hunter; two grandsons, Kevin Null and his wife Nicole, and Adam Null and his wife Jennifer; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Hannah, Kevin, and Isla; a sister, Donna Adams; brothers, George, William, and Ray Hunter.

A funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:15 PM to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ed's name can be made to Sts Peter and Paul Chapel, c/o Most Blessed Trinity, 113 Cherry St, Tremont, PA 17981.
