Elaine N. Bordner, 87, of Enola, passed away early Thursday morning, June 23, 2022 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill with her sons by her side.
Born in Harrisburg, May 17, 1935 a daughter of the late Chester and Florence Shover Cupp. Elaine was a graduate of the John Harris High School.
She was retired from the Dauphin County Courthouse where she worked security. Prior to working for the courthouse she was a secretary with Hensel and Sons.
Elaine was a member of St. James Independent Church, Carsonville.
Traveling was her passion, she enjoyed trips to the beach at Cape May, going to flea markets, antiquing and spending time at the cabin in Clinton county. She will be remembered for being a hard worker, holding down multiple jobs at a time and being a great cook, but above all she was the happiest and most content when she was with her two boys, whom she was extremely proud.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel D. Bordner 1997, daughter-in-law, Karen Wagner, sisters; Mary Weaser, Lucille King, Lillian Seiger, Irene Miller, Delsa Smith, Lois Baker and Dorothy Hoover, brothers; Lee, Robert, Harry, Chester and Clarence Cupp.
Surviving are her two sons; William F. Wagner and David Scott Bordner, both of Enola, a sister; Cheryl Tarbotlon, North Carolina. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 am from St. James Independent Church, Carsonville, with Pastor Keith Dimpsey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the church.
