Elizabeth Mattern Obituary

Elizabeth J. Mattern, 83, of Elizabethville, passed away Monday night, April 24, 2023.

Born in Wiconisco, February 22, 1940, a daughter of the late John L. Sr. and Margaret K. Kolva Cessna. Elizabeth was a 1957 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert R. Mattern Sr., 2012; an infant son, 1958; and two brothers David and James Cessna.

Surviving are two daughters, Norma Novinger (David), Camp Hill, and Barbara Klinger (David), Gratz; two sons, Robert Mattern Jr., (Bridget), Elizabethville, and David Mattern (Tammy), Harleysville; three grandsons, Bradley Mattern (Jessica), Camp Hill, Justin Mattern (Shana), Loyalton, and Robert Mattern III (Julie), WIlliamstown; three great grandchildren, Sidney, Emma, and Inez; one brother, John Cessna Jr., (Dorothy), Lykens; two sisters, Margaret Arnold and Sandra Heilman (Donald) both of Lykens; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Elizabeth will be laid to rest privately in the Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
