Elizabeth P. Rowe

Elizabeth P. "Betty" Rowe, 89, of Lykens, passed away early Sunday morning, May 14, 2023 at Traditions of Hershey surrounded by her family.

Born in Wiconisco, May 26, 1933, a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Kuryan Krepich. Elizabeth graduated from the former Wiconisco High School.

She was a retired teller from Community Banks, Lykens.

Elizabeth was an active member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, and was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She was an avid reader and loved to play games and cards. Above all else, Elizabeth will be remembered for the love she had for her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles Rowe, 1999; seven siblings, John and George Zilinski, Ann Underkoffler, Mary Buela, and Mick, Skip, and Larry Krepich.

Surviving are her son, Christopher Rowe, Dauphin; four daughters, Annette Black, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Machamer (Ronald), Palmyra, Jennifer Hawk (Scott), Bethlehem, and Stephanie Rowe, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Jordan, Michael, Eric, Adam, Benjamin, Cameron, Nathaniel, and Caroline; six great grandchildren, Liam, Adelaide, Lucy, Vienna, Isaac, and Maverick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 2:30 pm from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Lykens with Rev. Michael Messner as Celebrant.  Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 at the church.  Burial will be in the Lykens Catholic Cemetery.
