Eugene P. Williams, 91, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Tower City, June 22, 1930, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Burns Williams. Gene was a graduate of the former Tower City High School.
He was retired from Penn State Hershey Medical Center, a job he enjoyed and looked forward to greeting and meeting people.
He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City. He was also a former member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose and Orwin Fire Company.
Gene enjoyed being around and talking to people. At the age of 13 he was the first person in Schuylkill County to donate skin grafting for a local resident in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carol Miller Williams, Feb. 3, 2017 and a sister, Gail Unger.
Surviving are a brother-in-law, Lyle Miller, Virginia, nieces and a nephew. Gene is also survived by his caregivers, Larry and Rose Reiner, Tower City.
Religious services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Father Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown. Viewing will be from 10:30-11:00 am at the chapel.
