Eugene "Mush" Miller, 86, of Elizabethville passed away Saturday morning, January 28, 2023 at his home with his children by his side.
Born in Wiconisco, May 25, 1936, a son of the late Monroe and Nora Denkovich Miller. He was a graduate of the former Wiconisco High School.
Mush was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He worked for many years as a salesman at Reiff & Nestor, Lykens and with Sossner Tap and Tool. He retired from Firth Brown Tap and Tool.
Mush was raised in the Russian Orthodox faith. He was a current member of Immanuel-Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton.
He was a member of the former Elizabethville Lion's Club, where he was very active and was a past Lion of the Year. He was also a member of the Elizabethville American Legion.
Mush will be remembered for his generosity and friendliness towards others. He was very social and loved talking to everybody. He also was an avid hunter and member of the NRA.
In addition to his parents, Mush was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Miller, 2022; a son, Joseph Miller, 2020; an infant sister, Barbara Ann Miller.
Surviving are his two children, Scott E. Miller and his wife Debbie, Williamstown, and Barbara A. Hoffman and her husband Randy, Florida; six grandchildren, Patrick, Roman, Kole, Kayla, Brynlee, and Ariel; two great grandsons, Jackson and Greyson, with a third great grandchild on the way; a brother, Sergius Miller, Millersburg.
A Celebration of Mush's Life will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 at the chapel. He will be laid to rest privately in the Saint James Cemetery, Carsonville.
