Gail E. Bettinger

Gail E. Bettinger, 78, of Lykens, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025 at UPMC, Harrisburg.

Born in Pottsville on January 18, 1947, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Shuttlesworth Travitz. Gail was a 1964 graduate of Williamstown High School.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Gail worked various jobs throughout her life, including working in the local garment factory, as a secretary for a congressman, in the home health industry, and as a homemaker raising her children.

In her younger years, she enjoyed shopping and going on trips with her friends. Gail loved to reminisce about her past and her community. She loved growing up in the valley. Above all else, her family was her world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Bettinger.

She is survived by her children, Carl Bettinger, Williamstown, and Paula Bettinger (James Adams), Dayton; her sister, Judy Nunemacher (Larry), Millersburg; her grandchildren, Leah Williard, Brandon Bettinger, Jenna Swaringen, and Katie Meyers; great grandchildren, Kobe Bettinger, Cannon Williard, Lenyx Swaringen, Bennett Bettinger, Rylee Meyers, and Kennedy Swaringen; great great grandchildren, Everly and Rosalia.

She will be laid to rest with parents in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
