Gary Edward Bork, Sr., age 66, of Klingerstown, PA, passed away on September 2, 2025 in his home.
Gary was born on January 3, 1959 in Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, to Nancy and Jack Bork and was the oldest of four children. He was a graduate of the class of 1976 at Octorara High School and of Millersville University with a degree in Liberal Arts. He worked as a jeweler and in sheet metal construction for Local Union 19 out of Philadelphia where he worked on Liberty One and Liberty Two. After living in Delaware and Chester Counties, he spent the last 25 years in Schuylkill County.
Gary was described as "the Mayor" of Klingerstown. He was honest, unapologetically himself, and was everybody's friend. He was the life of any party. Dad was incredibly talented and artistic, a skill he passed along to his four children. Memories of our Dad are many, and while he may not have lived a long life, the excitement of his experiences spanned lifetimes.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother and father, Nancy (Burdett) and John "Jack" Bork and his brother Gregory Bork. He is survived by his sister, Leslie Pellini (Alan) and brother Erik Bork, daughters Courtney Ballauer (Mark Murphy), Amy Bork (Briton Barrett), Brandy Bork, and son, Gary Bork, Jr. (Savana Wolfe). Gary also took pride in his step-daughters, Heather Keen (JD), Jessica Williams (Bryan), BillieJo Rague (Chris), and Amber Brown (Johnny). Pappy's list of grandchildren is long and kept on a neatly folded paper in his wallet that he was always eager to pull out and show off. He added his 13th grandchild this past February.
In his own words, Gary's life was "Wonderful & Challenging." He told us, "Don't forget to keep smiling and try to be kind to each other."
We love you, Dad, and will miss your presence.
Gary will be laid to rest privately in the family plot in Cochranville, PA.
