Gary D. Minnich

Gary D. Minnich, 64, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his family.

Born in Valley Forge, PA., February 4, 1957, a son of Joan Calton Minnich, Millersburg and the late John E. Minnich.  Gary was a 1975 graduate of Millersburg High School.

Gary recently retired from Troutman's Chevrolet, Millersburg, where he worked as a salesman for nearly 45 years.  It was much more than a job. He always enjoyed talking to his customers and built lifelong friendships.

He was a member of David's Community Bible Church, Millersburg; an active member of  National Wild Turkey Federation, Lykens Chapter; Millersburg American Legion; and the NRA.

Gary loved to be in the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, spending time at his camp in Powells Valley or taking his daily walks around Millersburg.   His family was the center of his world. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Surviving are his mother, Joan Calton Minnich, Millersburg; his wife of 41 years, Judy E. Martz Minnich; his children, Kamarin A. Lukunich and her husband Christopher, Millersburg, and Preston D. Minnich and his wife Lindsey, Millersburg; a sister, Sandra Cordier and her husband David, New Cumberland; 5 grandchildren, Landyn, Gavyn, Barron, Autumn and baby Calton due in March.    Nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Celebration of Gary's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at David's Community Bible Church, Millersburg with Pastor Allan Briggs officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 at the church.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name should be made to the Millersburg Community Pool, c/o Kathy Weiss, 120 Lincoln Lane,  Millersburg, PA 17061.
