Gerald "Jesse" Zimmerman

Gerald L. "Jesse" Zimmerman, 85, of Pine Grove (Ravine) passed away peacefully Tuesday night, November 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Ravine, Saturday, July 6, 1940, a son of the late Thomas and Ada Stein Zimmerman. He served in the United States Army National Guard.

Gerald will be remembered for his strong work ethic, having owned and operated Gerald Zimmerman Saw Mill, Ravine for 62 years, retiring in 2023.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Ravine. Gerald was also a member of the Orwin, Northend, and the Mount Aetna Fire Companies and the Pine Grove VFW.

He enjoyed playing the guitar. Being "Pappy" to his grandchildren was the highlight of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy and Gloria Zimmerman; brothers, Franklin, Marlin "Pete", and Paul Zimmerman.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Faye L. Boyer Zimmerman; his three sons, Kevin Zimmerman, Troy Zimmerman, and Corey Zimmerman, all of Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Tobie Zimmerman, Rachael Smith, Emily Zimmerman, and Ava Zimmerman; one great grandson, Lucian Shiffer; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Gerald will be laid to rest in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Ravine.
