Gloria J. (Rupp) Brown, 78, of Dalmatia, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026 at her home.
Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, holiday decorating, and raising animals. In recent years, she tended to a continuous managerie of chickens, ducks, turkey, and geese.
Gloria retired from Brubaker Tool Company.
Gloria was a petite woman with the fight of a giant. She was a 20 plus year cancer survivor. She battled long-term, ongoing radiation treatment side effects. She never complained or questioned, always continuing to care for her family's interests.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles H. Brown, Jr.; her son, Cordell "Cory" Brown of Dalmatia; her daughter Rebecca "Becky" Harris of Dalmatia; her grandson, Jaydon Brown, Lock Haven; an uncle, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Bethany L. Harris; a sister Barbara Rupp; a brother Carl Rupp; her parents, Cora and Jeremiah Rupp.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11. Gloria will be laid to rest in the Trinity UCC Cemetery, Dalmatia.
