Helen L. Frew Heintzleman, 97, of Tower City passed away peacefully Saturday morning, October 1, 2022 at her home after a brief illness.
Born in Sheridan, June 27, 1925, daughter of the late Harry and Beulah Troup Russel. Helen was a 1943 graduate of the former Tower City High School.
She was a retired seamstress from the garment factory.
She enjoyed socializing with her friends and "hons" (you know who you are), loved her Red Stag & Coke, computer games, camping, and most of all being surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was predeceased by her husbands George Frew and Robert Heintzleman; a grandson David Moyer; two great grandsons, Brandon Moyer and Ryan Wiscount; two great great grandchildren, Jayden Yerges and Mallory Love; five siblings Margaret Shaw, Betty Forney, Mae Bixler, Joy Klinger, and Harry Russel.
Surviving are her six children, Georgina Moyer (Dave), Spring Glen, Helen Miller, companion of the late Truman Swab, Wiconisco, George Frew Jr., Pottsville, Luana Butensky (Robert), Branchdale, JoLynne Fenstermacher, Tower City, and Donna Hubler (Chet), Lykens; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Following Helen's wishes, services will be private.
