Homer E. Bousman, Jr., 66, of Wiconisco, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024 at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Findlay, Ohio on Tuesday, June 24, 1958, a son of the late Homer Sr. and Willowdean Murdoch Bousman. Homer was a graduate of South View High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Homer always knew he wanted to join the United States Army and was a member of the ROTC in high school. Following graduation, he immediately enlisted and proudly served in the Army for 13 years.
Following his time with the military, he was employed at Aycock Inc for over 20 years. He eventually retired with Coffee Time where he worked in delivery.
Growing up, Homer and his family were of the Pentecostal faith. He most recently attended the Lykens United Methodist Church.
He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed detailing cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Noreen Snyder Bousman, 2013.
Surviving are his two sons, Vincent Bousman and his wife Cassandra, Lykens, and Brian Bousman and his partner Christina Adley, Tower City; a sister, Carol Morris and her husband Chris, Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Teyanna, Tanaya, Keagan, and Britney Bousman; a sister-in-law, Gail Ruch and her husband Eric, Wiconisco; a brother-in-law, Daniel Snyder and his wife Angela, Wiconisco; nieces and nephews, Christopher Holder, Christopher Morris, Sarah Ritzman, Gabrielle, Shelby, and Derek Snyder, Broc and Bret Ruch, and Alexis and Payge Leshko.
A funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City at 2:15 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Services with full military honors will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
