James J. Bopp, 70, of Lykens, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the UPMC Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Harrisburg, Thursday, December 4, 1953, a son of the late James Sr. and Hannah Warlow Bopp. Jim attended Williamstown Catholic High School and William Valley School District.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Jim was last employed in the maintenance department at Walmart, Elizabethville. He previously worked in home healthcare for many years.
He will be remembered as a caregiver for his family and friends. He took exceptional care of his mother throughout her life. Jim had a heart of gold, and there was nothing he would not do for anyone in need. He could constantly be found working and was a true jack-of-all-trades. His cooking skills were second to none. He even catered events for family and friends. Jim was always there for everyone. He never asked for anything in return and was very humble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Bopp, 1985.
Surviving are his four siblings, Mary Taylor, Lykens, Cathy Zerby, Lykens, Lois Davis, Harrisburg, Judy Perkins, Berrysburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
Following Jim's wishes, there will be no services.
The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Tower City, is honored to serve Jim's family.
