James Clemson, Jr. Obituary

James W. Clemson, Jr., 80, of Halifax, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Born on Sunday February 3, 1946, a son of the late James Sr. and Evelyn Guldner Clemson. He was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School and Shippensburg University. James also attended West Point and Bible College.

He was a United States Army veteran.

James was a master plumber and electrician who took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed teaching electrical work for Dauphin County O.I.C. at the Harrisburg Area Community College, where he shared his knowledge and experience with students beginning their careers.

He was a faithful member of David's Community Bible Church. James was also a member of the American Legion and VFW.

James was a talented musician who loved sharing his music with others. He also had a passion for model trains. Above all else, James will be remembered as a man of God who loved Jesus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Israel Clemson and his granddaughter, Jami Clemson.

Surviving are his five beloved children, Jeanette Crabb and her husband Michael, Lykens, Michele Pugh and her husband Kevin, Millersburg, James Clemson, III and his wife Susan, Halifax, David Clemson, Halifax, and Jonathan Clemson, California; a sister, Janice Dice and her husband Mike, West Hanover Township; a brother, Gerald Clemson, Maryland; seven grandchildren, William Tabb, Sky Rank, Krystal Osman, Dustin Weist, Desirae Renard, Dakota Clemson, and Brandon Clemson; eight great grandchildren, Weston, Jacoby, Augustus, and Quinn Tabb, Azalea and Zendaya Rank, Zayden Renard, and Alivia Astick.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM from David's Community Bible Church, with his pastor, Pastor Allan Briggs officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10 at the church. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in James's memory can be made to David's Community Bible Church, 1072 PA-25, Millersburg, PA 17061.
