James H. Schreffler, Jr., 73, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, with his wife by his side.
Born in Wiconisco Township, January 30, 1948, a son of the late James and Betty Schreffler.
Jim was a very proud United States Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He retired from Michael Foods, Klingerstown.
Jim was of the Methodist Faith; He was an avid train collector and a talented sketch artist.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Smeltz.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Barry Schreffler; two sons, Daryl and Kirk Schreffler; four daughters, Angela Dietrich (Troy), Dillsburg; Annette Brosius (David Sulouff), Halifax; Andrea Fritz (Terry), Jonestown; Anita Flynn (Ed), Lykens; 13 grandchildren, Robert and Tabatha Scheib, Cole, Caitlynn and Caleb Dietrich, Melody Dawson, Shana and Charles Osman, Drake Harris, Brie Connors, Brent Keister, Jason and Nikol Flynn; 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:30 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Viewing will be from 10:30-11:30 at the chapel. Jim will be laid to rest privately with full military honors in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jim's name can be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, 400 E. Grand Avenue, P.O. Box F, Tower City PA 17980.
