Janice M. "Nan" Whitcomb, 84, of Lykens, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, March 11, 2023 at her home.
Born in Lykens on January 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Elwood and Florence Sallada Keen. Nan was a 1956 graduate of the former Lykens High School where she was a majorette.
She was a former member of the Muir Foursquare Gospel Church and was currently attending the Methodist Church.
Janice was affectionately known as Nan by all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and could often be found reading her Bible. Nan was a talented cook who touched many lives through cooking and providing her delicious meals. She was also an accomplished artist who had a passion for drawing and coloring.
She is survived by her son, Keith Whitcomb, Lykens; two granddaughters she adored, Nicole Whitcomb, Elizabethville, and Kelsey Whitcomb, Williamstown. She is also survived by Maddie Ressler, whom Nan considered her granddaughter. Janice adopted the name Nan, because that was how she was viewed by everyone - she was everyone's Nan.
