Jayden A. Yerges, 14, of Elizabethville, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Lykens.
Jayden was born in Pottsville, January 1, 2008, the first New Year baby in Schuylkill County, a beloved son of Seth Yerges, Sr., Lykens and Victoria Moyer Yerges, Elizabethville.
He would have been starting his freshman year this fall at Upper Dauphin Area High School. He previously played on the Lykens Tigers football team.
Jayd man, as he was affectionately called by his family, was your typical teenage boy, who could often be found playing games and watching videos on his phone. He had a great passion for the outdoors, enjoyed all kinds of hunting, especially archery, fishing, riding scooter with his brothers or just hanging out with family and friends. His love for his dog, Chevy, was second to none. He was his constant companion.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Moyer Jr.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his two brothers, Cameron Keys and Seth Yerges, Jr., a sister, Aja Yerges, his grandparents, Dawn Wolfe, Desiree and Dal Herner, great grandparents; Ken and Alice Carl, David Sr. and Georgina Moyer, great great grandmother, Helen Heintzleman. Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Over the last several months he battled with depression. In Jayden's memory always show kindness and compassion to those struggling with this terrible disease.
A Celebration of Jayden's life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
