John E. Heaney, 68, of Millersburg, formerly of Williamstown, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the UPMC Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 21, 1956, he was a son of the late Mary Davis Heaney and James Heaney, Jr.
John was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and loved to play bingo. He had the brightest smile around and loved to make people laugh.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rick Cave; a niece, Andrea Kamant; a nephew, Christopher Heaney.
Surviving are his six siblings, Debra Kiehl (Steve), Tower City, Kay Cave, Three Springs, James Heaney (Ruth Ann), Reading, Brenda Hepler (Jeffrey), Gratz, Steven Heaney, Dover, and Susan Webster (David), Lykens; nieces and nephews, Samantha Donton (Andy), Steve Kiehl Jr. (Christy), Dale Barr (Tina), Jeffrey Barr, Janelle Barbita (Mike), Abigail Kasitz (Phil), Victoria Thilo (Jeremy), Tammi Mathews (Jason), Amanda Heaney, Danielle Fiduk, David Webster Jr. (Brandi), Robert Webster (Rebecca), Matthew Webster, and Andrew Webster; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Saville officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. John will be laid to rest with his mother in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
To honor John and his love for the Philadelphia Eagles, everyone is encouraged to wear Eagles attire.
