John R. Snyder

John R. Snyder, 72, of Williamstown (Dayton), passed away early Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023 at UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg.

Born in Lykens, March 1, 1951, a son of the late Lester and Wanda Matio Snyder. He attended the former Wiconisco High School.

John retired from Guillford Mills, Pine Grove.

In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. John always looked forward to spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Deppen, and two brothers, James and Lester Snyder.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Susanna (Sue) Csaszar Snyder; two daughters, Lisa Filosa (Frank), Williamstown, and Julia Wolfe (Mark), Hegins; three grandchildren, Devon Wolfe and Emily and Nicholas Filosa; a sister, Susan Smith, Harrisburg; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.
