Jonathan Kline, Jr. Obituary


Jonathan W. Kline, Jr., 53, of Williamstown, passed away early Monday morning, April 11, 2022 surrounded by his family after being diagnosed three weeks prior with stage IV cancer. John fought the good fight these past three week, never complaining, having a family and his strong Christian faith to lean on.
 
He was born in Doylestown, on October 4, 1968 a son of Rev. Jonathan Kline, Sr., Irvona, PA and Christine Mengel-Heck, Reading.
 
He was a 1988 graduate of Williams Valley High School, where he was a member of the Viking Pride Band, where played the drums and in the brass section. His love for music and playing the drums lead him to playing in many local rock bands throughout his life. 
 
Jonathan had been a CNA at local nursing homes and also for private home health care. He was also employed in the construction field.
 
He was a member of the Muir Foursquare Gospel Church and a former member of the Muir Fire Company. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers and Penn State. He could often be found playing his drums, listening to music or just spending time with his family and friends.
 
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife of 24 years, Diane Shuey Kline, children; Joel Meyers, Williamstown, Kristel Weikel (Tyler), Williamstown, Miranda Strickland (Eric), Tower City, Christian and Devin Kline, both of Williamstown. Grandchildren; Kaydan and Averie Weikel, Amari and Demi-Rose Strickland and Carter Meyers. one sister; Heather Harner (Brad), Mount Joy, his mother-in-law, Rose Marie Shuey, Lykens. He is also survived by many dear friends that John considered family.  He was predeceased by his father-in-law, John Shuey on January 20, 2022.
 
A Celebration of John's life wll be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm from Muir Foursquare Gospel Church, Muir with Pastor Luke Heald officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-7 pm at the church.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 644 E. Grand Avenue, Tower City, PA, 17980 to help with expenses.
