Katherine A. Helman, 88, of Etters, passed away early Thursday morning, May 2, 2024 at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Millersburg.
Born in Harrisburg, February 2, 1936, a daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine Keys. Katherine was a graduate of John Harris High School.
She was a retired technician with the former AMP Inc., Harrisburg.
Katherine was a lifelong, active member of Zion's Lutheran Church, Harrisburg.
She enjoyed her trips to Myrtle Beach and the casino. Above all else, her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Helman, 2014; a daughter Sally A. Helman; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Robert C. Helman and his wife Glenda, Millersburg, and David B. Helman, Etters; three grandchildren, Katie Van Rossum and her husband Jason, Amy Gehring and her husband Clint, and Robert D. Helman and his wife Jess; eight great grandchildren, Gracie and Gabe Gehring, Michael, Lily, and Abby Van Rossum, and Levi, Norah, and Luke Helman.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Zion's Lutheran Church, Harrisburg with the Rev. Dr. Karin Pejack officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30-11:00. Following services, a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held in the church social hall. Free parking can be accessed at the Chestnut Street Garage.
