Katherine "Katie" Zimmerman-Craig, 96, formerly of Wiconisco, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Millersburg, where she was a resident for the past five months.
Katie was born in Lykens on Thursday, August 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Fedko Sovich.
She retired from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens, where she worked for over 40 years.
Katie was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loyalton. She always looked forward to attending services.
Katie enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it be playing 500 Rummy or doing puzzles. Above all, her family was her world, and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She always looked forward to family picnics.
In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Zimmerman and Thomas Craig; two daughters, Lynn Sheesley and Kathy Sims; an infant son, Charles Zimmerman; five brothers and and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Watkins, Elizabethville; nine grandchildren, Dana Reed, Darryn Reed, Jennifer Miller, Bridget Kandybowski, Tammy Watkins, John Watkins, Angie Sims Dietrich, Anthony Sims, and Erin McCurdy; fourteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one great great great grandson; a sister, Susan Pinkerton, Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Katie's Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Following the services at the cemetery, a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held in the social hall of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Wiconisco.
