Kay E. Rice, 82, of Lykens (Loyalton), passed away early Monday morning, July 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Kay was born in Loyalton, March 31, 1940, a daughter of the late Claude and Lillian Rowe Miller. She was 1958 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.
Kay was a co-owner of the former R & K Diner, Elizabethville, a business successfully ran for over 46 years, retiring in 2015.
She was a faithful and lifetime member of the Immanuel/Wesley United Methodist Church, Loyalton where she belonged to Helping Hands and was active with the women's group.
She enjoyed doing ceramics, crafts, gardening, taking care of her fur babies, but above all her family was the center of her world.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, William A. Rice, three children; Edwin Rice (Suzanne), Lykens, Michelle Rice, Loyalton and Drinda Rice (Douglas), Halifax.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor William Romberger officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville. Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the chapel.
