Kenneth E. Geyer

Kenneth E. Geyer, 82, of Gratz passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at his home.

Ken was born September 3, 1940, in Upper Paxton Township, the son of the late John George Geyer and Eva E. Laudenslager Wagner. He was a 1958 graduate of the Millersburg High School.

He was the husband of Janice E. Keiter Geyer for 49 years.    

Ken and Janice moved to Florida in 1972 and resided there for 44 years, moving back to the valley in 2016.  

Throughout Ken's life, he worked for many years as a truck driver, worked as an property manger, and could often be found doing anything mechanical. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and was always up for a good conversation with anyone he met.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, John Schroyer and George Geyer; sisters, Betty Bower, Evelyn and Doris Geyer; his sons, Keith Geyer, Sr., Bill and Mike Fulkroad; his daughter Sami Mattis; his grandson Rick Mattis, Jr., and his granddaughter Courtney Etzweiler.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Regina wife of Dave Deppen, Peggy wife of Eric Wallace, Becky wife of the late Al Briner, Bonnie wife of the late David Etzweiler; a son Randy Geyer and his wife Shana; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 6:30 pm from the First United Methodist Church, 346 Union Street, Millersburg, PA.  Visitation will be from 6-6:30 at the church.   Immediately following the services there will be a time of refreshments and fellowship. Ken will be laid to rest privately in Longs Cemetery, Halifax.
