Larry Shoffler Obituary

Larry L. Shoffler, 57, of Pine Grove passed away very unexpectedly early Sunday morning, March 3, 2024 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, April 17, 1966, a son of Sandra "Dolly" Bixler Shoffler, and the late Jacob "Jake" Shoffler. Larry was a 1986 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

Larry will be remembered for his very strong work ethic, sometimes holding down 2-3 jobs at a time. He was always working. He was proud of his time working in the coal mines and was currently employed by Solar Innovations, Pine Grove, a job he really enjoyed.

If you were lucky enough to call Larry your friend, you were blessed. He will be remembered for his happy go lucky personality, always socializing, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was an avid dart player, belonging to numerous leagues and participating in many tournaments. He enjoyed playing darts with his nephews, Dave, Daniel, and Ricky Shoffler. Nothing made Larry happier than the simple things in life, whether it be listening to music, spending time with Lisa and Seth, or sitting around a fire with his friends. He will be missed immensely.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ginny Rehrer.

Surviving are his mother, Sandra "Dolly" Shoffler and her companion Carl Witmer, Good Spring; his wife of 25 years, Lisa Rehrer Shoffler; his son, Seth Shoffler and his partner Mackenzie Donofrio, Pine Grove; one brother, Rick Shoffler, Valley View; four sisters, Sheila Witmer and her husband Kenny, Good Spring, Melissa Shade and her husband Forrest, Valley View, Wendy Kimmel and her husband William, Hegins, and Peggy Shoffler-Hylton and her partner Hank Klinger, Valley View; father-in-law, Ernie Rehrer, Pine Grove; sister-in-law, Donna Miller, Jolliet; numerous nieces and nephews he dearly loved.

A viewing will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 from St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Pine Grove from 3-4 pm.  Funeral services will begin at 4 pm with Pastor David Botzer officiating.
