Lee Reiser Obituary

Lee I. Reiser, 92, of Tower City, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife of 72 years by his side, on Friday, October 18, 2024 at his home.

Born January 17, 1932 in Tower City, a son of the late Albert and Grace Shuttlesworth Reiser. He was a 1949 graduate of the Tower City High School and a 1952 graduate of Williamson Trade School.

Lee was a proud United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Germany.

He was a retired supervisor from the former AMP Inc., where he was employed for over 36 years.

He was an active and faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent, an usher, treasurer, and was on the church council.

Lee will be remembered for being very active in his community. He was recently honored by the Tower City Borough Authority for serving on the council for over 35 years. During his tenure, he held the position of treasurer. He volunteered for many years as a Little League and Teener baseball coach.

He was a 63 year member of the Tower City American Legion and was instrumental in the Veteran's Memorial.

Lee was one of the founding member of the Williams Valley Camp in Potter County where countless memories were made with his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. Every Saturday, Lee could be found cheering on his Nittany Lions.

His life revolved around his family, and he was the true definition of a patriarch. He was the best husband, father, and pap. Family trips were very important to him, whether it was the annual Ocean City Maryland vacation or trips to camp. He was the biggest supporter of all his children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's activities - especially sports. He never missed a game.

Lee's legacy will be his love for his community, country, and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Kerry Reiser.

Surviving are his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Carol Stoudt Reiser; a son, Lee L. Resier (Elaine); a daughter, Lori Reiser-Leitzel (Richard); grandchildren he adored, Amber Gabrielson (Ken), Tiffany Underkoffler (Carl), Tanya Birch (Jim), Lindsey Shreve (Bill), and Erica Leitzel; great grandchildren, Drew and Lexy Gabrielson, Zakary and Ally Underkoffler, and Reese, Dylan, Austyn, and Averi Shreve; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Memorial services celebrating Lee's life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM from St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastors Annette Shutt and Harold Hand officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church social hall. Lee will be laid to rest privately in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
