Obituary


Linda R. Wynn, 78, of Wiconisco, went home to the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.
 
Born in Wiconisco, July 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Edward and Pearl Moyer Sierer. Linda attended the former Wiconisco High School.
 
She was a retired secretary from the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Williamstown.
 
Linda was a faithful and dedicated member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and served on the board. She could often be found volunteering wherever needed at the church. She was a former Judge of Elections for Wiconisco Township,  a girl scout leader and volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels. Linda along with her family coordinated "Thanksgiving with Friends" where they prepared and served Thanksgiving meals for families throughout the valley for over 17 years.
 
Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her life revolved around helping others, especially  family, friends and her church.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Leiter, three sisters; Marian Sierer, Carol Forney and Betty Lou Umberger, a brother; Edward Sierer.
 
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Samuel Wynn,  seven children; Susan Clough (Harold), Williamstown, Cathy Wynn, Williamstown, Patti Updegrove (Eric), Hanover, Karen Wynn (Wes Strayer), Montoursville, Samuel Wynn, Jr., (Carla), Williamstown, Lisa Calnon (Michael), Elizabethville and Rhonda Shimko (Todd), Selinsgrove, one brother; Donald Sierer, Florida, one sister, Shirley Smith, Camp Hill;  17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
 
A Celebration of Linda's life will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm from the Calvary United Methodist Church, Wiconisco with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm at the church. Following the service family and friends are invited to the church social hall for a meal and time of  fellowship. Burial will be private in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
