Lloyd C. Bordner

Lloyd C. Bordner, 75, of Tower City, passed away Monday afternoon, November 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Wiconisco, October 31, 1947, a son of the late Lloyd Bordner and Alma Strohecker Keister.

Lloyd was retired from Harman Stove, Halifax.

Lloyd and Mary Alice could often be found out and about socializing with their many friends. He always looked forwards to the holidays, where he could be found dressed like Santa Clause or a leprechaun.

He was a member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose, Pine Grove H H & L Fire Company, Pine Grove Fish and Game, Pine Grove VFW, Union Fire Company, Bethel, and the Sons of the Fredericksburg American Legion. He was an avid dart player, where he played in the Upper Dauphin Dart League for over 40 years, still holding numerous records. He also enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Cloyd, Ronald (Snook), Richard (Bud), and Kenneth (Tom) Keister, and Ernest Bordner.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Mary Alice Quinn Bordner; his children, Lloyd Bordner, Jr, Wiconisco, Dennis Bordner and his wife Michelle, Williamstown, Jason Bordner and his wife Shannon, Tower City, and Kristen Borwegen and her husband Andrew, Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Doris Hubler, Tremont and Sandra Bensinger, Lykens; a brother, Gary Keister, Pottsville; grandchildren Heather Werdt and her husband Cody, Hunter Bordner, Cameron, Alix, Samantha, Amanda, Andrew, Kathryn, Bethanee, Marie, and Grayson; great grandchildren, Maci, Nova, and Willow Werdt; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Lloyd's Life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Krista Keisling officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm at the chapel. Following the services everyone is invited to the Pine Grove VFW for a luncheon and time of fellowship.
