Louise A. Boyer

Louise A. Boyer, 95, formerly of Tower City, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Church of God Nursing Home, Carlisle.

Louise was born in Tower City, February 17, 1928, a daughter of the late David and Mary Rodichok Schwenk. She was a graduate of the former Tower City High School.

Louise was a retired seamstress from the local garment industry.

She was a faithful member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tower City.

Louise will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like admiring the birds from her window, watching Penn State and Notre Dame Football and Duke Basketball, cooking for her family, and spending time at camp. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence "Tuss" Boyer, 2010; two sisters, Frances McCusker and Phyllis Buggy; two brothers, Thomas and Paul Schwenk.

Surviving are her two sons, Larry Boyer and his wife Mary Beth, Dillsburg, and Dave Boyer and his wife Wendy, Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Marcie, Courtney and Collin; four great grandchildren, Morgan, Jaxson, Leah and Lucie.

Family and friends are invited to attend Louise's funeral services on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 1:30 PM from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
