Mardell R. Madenford Eister

Mardell  R. Madenford Eister, 67, of Mount Carmel, formerly of Joliett, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Mardell was born on Monday, September 2, 1957, a daughter of the late Gerald and Shirley Klinger Madenford.

She attended Williams Valley Jr.-Sr. High School. Before becoming ill she last worked at Guilford Mills, Pine Grove and J E Morgan Garment Factory, Tower City.

Mardell enjoyed gardening, shopping, and animals. Her granddaughter Kayla was her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Jr. and Robert Madenford.

Surviving are her son, Craig Reightler; two sisters, Donna Deeter and Janice Abdou; two brothers, James Madenford and Scott Madenford; her granddaughter, Kayla Reightler; several nieces and nephews.

Mardell will be laid to rest at the convenience of her family in the St. John's Cemetery, Friedensburg, with her parents.
