Margaret L. Erdman, 97, of Lykens passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Margaret was born on April 30, 1928, at home in Williamstown to the late William and Amelia Berger Bopp. She was a graduate of the former Williamstown Catholic High School.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold "Chup" Erdman; a infant son, Robert; a daughter Mary L. Bell, as well as her brothers, Ambrose, Daniel, Joseph, Lawrence, and William Bopp; her sister Amelia "Millie" Dolan.
Margaret is survived by her son, William (Iris) of York Haven; her daughter, Kathy Erdman of Lykens; her two grandsons, Todd Bell (Tami) of Halifax and Christopher Bell of Virginia; two great granddaughters, Christina Bell and Amanda Fisher (Chase) both of Halifax; two great great grandsons, John and Jackson, also of Halifax. Also surviving Margaret are her twin sister, Florence Warfel of Camp Hill, and her son-in-law, John Bell of Virgina; numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was mostly a stay-at-home mom, but she did work part time at the Lykens Book Nook and Kocher's Grocery Store. She was an avid reader and known by the staff at the nursing facility to always have a book in her hand. But most of all, Margaret loved and cherished her family and always enjoyed being called "Nana" by her grandchildren.
