It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Margaret Ann (Peg Adams) Rautzahn, 91, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, who went to Heaven on Monday, May 18, 2026 at her home.
Peg was born November 4, 1934 in Williamstown, the only child of the late Thurman F. Adams and Margaret E. Reho Adams. She was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School, Class of 1952.
Peg was employed as a shipping and billing clerk at the former Unrivaled Hosiery Mill in Williamstown.
She was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Williamstown Evangelical & United Brethren Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.
She was a sports enthusiast, excelling in basketball in high school. Peg, along with her husband Ron, helped organize all their many class reunions which they thoroughly enjoyed. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, North Carolina Tar Heels, and the Penn State Nittany Lions. She took great pride in the appearance of her home. Peg loved decorating and did so for every holiday. Working in her yard and gardening in her flower beds gave her lots of pleasure. Happy times were spent going to the beach at Ocean City Maryland with her family. Peg's greatest joy was being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was the widow of her high school sweetheart, Ronald W. Rautzahn, who passed away March 17, 2023. They were happily married for over 67 years.
Peg is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Joy Barnhardt, Mechanicsburg, and Lora Gay Miller (David), Woodbridge, VA; three granddaughters, Aubrey Ann Dolbear (John), Philadelphia, Austin Ash McNealy (Ryan), Havertown, and Ciara Jade Miller, Woodbridge, VA; one grandson, Sage Landis Miller, Woodbridge, VA; three great granddaughters, Lily Marie and Maisie Rose Dolbear and Evelyn Pearl McNealy; a great grandson, Miles McNealy.
Following Peg's wishes, there will be no formal services. Burial will be private in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Williamstown American Legion, 123 W Market Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.
The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Tower City, is honored to serve Peg's family.
