Marie E. Sedesse, 92, of Lykens, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 26, 2025 at Heritage Mills Personal Care Home.
Born in Wiconisco Township on Sunday, February 26, 1933, a daughter of the late Marlin and Clara Shoffner Shadle.
She was a member of the Lykens United Methodist Church.
Marie could often be found taking in all of what nature had to offer. She especially enjoyed watching deer and hummingbirds. She was a huge fan of Elvis, having a large collection of memorabilia. Above all else, her family was the center of her world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Sedesse, 2005; a sister, Eleanor Troutman; a brother, John Shadle.
She is survived by her six children, Joanne Blyler, Lykens, Frank "Ben" Sedesse (Linda), Lykens, Kenneth Sedesse (Elaine), Halifax, Sharon "Dodo" Edwards (John), Williamstown, Dennis "Ink" Sedesse (Suzanne Matter), Elizabethville, and Glenn Sedesse, Lykens; four grandchildren, Holly Blyler, Michael Edwards, Adrienne Thoman, and Nichole Sedesse; one great grandson, Hayden; two brothers, Harold Shadle, Millersburg, and Ralph Shadle, Elizabethville; her beloved dog, Kaylee; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, with Pastor John Lesher officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Marie will be laid to rest in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
