Marion E. Kiehl, 93, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, September 13th at the Gardens of York Terrace, Pottsville.
Born in Wiconisco, November 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Irvin and Mildred Esterline Hummel.
Marion was a 1944 graduate of Porter Township High School. She was a retired seamstress from the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Tower City.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton; a former member of Orwin Fire Co and Tower City American Legion Auxiliaries; and the Williams Valley Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Kiehl, 1980; a son, Gregory Kiehl; two brothers William and Donald Hummel; two sisters, Joyce Wise and Cass Carl.
Surviving are her daughter Susan "Susie" E. Kiehl, Tower City; Nieces, nephews and several cousins Marion was blessed by great neighbors, that were always willing to help her and Susie.
Marion will be laid to rest privately in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. Memorial donations in her memory can be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco Street, Tower City PA 17980.
