Mark M. Romberger, 85, of Tower City, formerly of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Orwigsburg.
Mark was born on Sunday, July 2, 1939 in Herndon, a son of the late Stanley and Verna Klinger Romberger. He was a graduate of Mahoney Joint High School, class of 1957.
He was a retired truck driver with Koppy's Propane, Williamstown and also worked for Iceland Seafood Corporation where he was a forklift operator.
Mark was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, the Union County Sportsman Club, and was a former assistant fire chief at the Hegins Fire Company, where he volunteered for over 30 years. He was also a former member of the Valley View Gun Club.
Mark will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, who had a passion for hunting and fishing. He could often be found watching the Weather Channel.
Mark is survived by his long time companion, Joan Savidge, with whom he resided; a son Michael I. Romberger and his wife Stacey, Harrisburg; two brothers, Lee Romberger and his wife Jenny, Duncannon, and Roy Romberger and his wife Barbara, New York; one sister Barbara Koppenhaver, Hershey; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm from the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin, with Pastor Maureen Duffy-Guy officiating.
