Marlin L. "Bud" Bowman, 86, of Wiconisco, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Harrisburg, June 17, 1936, a son of the late James and Dorothy F. Bressler Bowman. He was a 1954 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School, where he was his class valedictorian.
Bud was a retired navigator aviation technician with the Federal Aviation Administration at the Harrisburg International Airport.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran, where he was a member of the Knights of the Blue Nose.
He was a member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church, Wiconisco. He also belonged to the Williamstown American Legion.
Bud was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He looked forward to playing pinochle Saturday nights with his family. He also took great pride in his home and yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Ruth Perkins Bowman, August 6, 2012 whom he dearly missed.
Surviving are his three children, James Bowman (Jody), Millersburg, Brad Bowman (Carla), Halifax, and Lori Bowman, Wiconisco; four grandchildren, Jason Bowman (Kim), Leia Armstrong (Dan), Justin Bowman, and Sarah Pence (Michael); seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 at the chapel. Following the service, a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Wiconisco. Private burial will be in the Calvary U.M. Cemetery, Wiconisco.
