Mary Ann Koppenhaver, 78, of Tower City, went home to be with the Lord, Monday October 30, 2023 at her home, following a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born in Williamstown, May 4, 1945, a daughter of the late John and Mary Shomper Cretarole.
Mary Ann was a retired custodian with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, working with the Department of Military Affairs.
She was a very active and faithful charter member of Twin Valley Alliance Church, Williamstown. She was President of the Alliance Women, a member of the choir, Sunday School teacher, and volunteered wherever needed. She had also been an active member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church where she was a lay speaker and Sunday School teacher.
Her life revolved around her family and church. She took great pride in her home in Clarks Valley. Mary Ann also enjoyed antiquing, flea markets, and going to estate sales.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Enders and Patricia Deibler.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald M. Koppenhaver; her son, Rodney Koppenhaver (Debbie), Tower City; two grandchildren Micah Koppenhaver (Amy), Millersburg, and Emily Koppenhaver (Travis Hoover), Williamstown; three great grandchildren, Fury Carson Hoover, Caroline Grace Koppenhaver, and Hudson Brooks Koppenhaver; one sister, Crystal Shomper, Mifflinburg; a dear family friend, Bob Ludwig, Tower City; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Mary Ann's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from the Twin Valley Alliance Church at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 10-11. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall.
