Melodee S. Turner, 68, of Dauphin, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, April 7, 2023 at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born in Williamstown, January 20, 1955, a daughter of the late William Umholtz and Shirley Boyer Umholtz Nolte. Melodee was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg.
She was a retired long time employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, working in numerous departments, including the Department of Labor and Industry and the Liquor Control Board.
She was a member of the Newport and West Fairview Legions and the Marysville VFW.
Melodee could often be found shopping, doing crafts and collecting recipes, she loved to cook. Above all she will be remembered for her generous heart, always willing to lend a hand to whomever needed it and always being there for her family. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, William Lee Umholtz, 1953.
Surviving are her two sons, Chad Turner (Leslie) and Christopher Turner (Jill), both of Dauphin; her five grandchildren, Luke, Nicholas, Caleb, Leia and Cayden. Melodee is also survived by her companion of 15 years, Donald Walters, Dauphin.
Following Melodee's wishes there will be a private service held in the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City. Burial will also be held at the convenience of the family.
