Molly L. Challenger

Molly (Rodichok) Challenger passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025 at the age of 93. 

Molly was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Williamstown, PA before moving to Lancaster in 2010.

Throughout her entire life Molly was known for her keen intellect, kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness. She was a voracious reader and had a wonderful sense of fashion and style. At her retirement community, she was known as the most stylish woman in the community right up until her final days.

At the center of her life was her family. She was an “always there” mother to her two daughters each and every day of their lives, a meaningful part of the lives of her four beloved grandsons, and got to spend time with four of her great grandchildren. She loved meeting her newest grandson, just three months old, through pictures and videos. Her entire family feels an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she was.

Molly was predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) Challenger and is survived by her two daughters, Susan Hendrickson and Barbara Bechara, her four grandsons, Matthew Hendrickson, Andrew Hendrickson, Dr. Michael Bechara, and Dr. John Bechara, and her five great grandchildren, Hazel Hendrickson, Reed Hendrickson, Imogene Hendrickson, Eloise Hendrickson, and Remy Bechara.

Services will be be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM from A&E Entertainment, the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 140 E Market St, Williamstown, PA 17098. Visitation will be from 10-11. Molly will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown.  A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at A&E Entertainment.
